Hello, I have an HTX-404 440 Radio Shack handheld.
Hello, I use FRS often and wonder if I can modify it to at least receive FRS/GMRS frequencies? Is this possible?
I am well versed in radio electronics, looking for that magic diode I've been told about that you can clip off the PLL chip to "open up" the radio? is there really such a thing? I know guys with radios they claim they modified in such a way, but HTX-404?
