I am in a volunteer fire dept. and we are dispatched from just about anywhere, work, home,
around town, or out of town. The way we are dispatched let's us know there is a call but does not let us find out where until we make contact with the station. A scanner would be very handy. Is there a good scanner that would work at the house and in the truck and still get a decent amount of reception? I'd say about 3 to 5 miles would be sufficient, more would be better
but I don't want to spend all of my wifes butter and egg money! Any and all suggestions will be greatly appreciated. thanks, Andy
