What scanner should I buy??

I am wanting any suggestions as to what type of scanner to purchase. I am wanting to listen to the KCMO and KS area (Metro areas) departments and agencies. I am interested in either a handheld of mobile/desktop. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks for any input... Brad medrx99@hotmail.com
