I live at the bottom of 2 good size hills. As you will know my scanner reception is horrible. I live like 20 miles away from Kansas City Mo and I can hardly get most of the frequencies. My friend in Lawrence which lives 20 miles away from me which is 40 miles away from Kansas City Mo can get KCMO loud and clear. Right now I have a 20 dollar radio shack antenna mounted on a 15-20 foot pole. Are there any really good antennas I can get to maximize my reception? Preferably in the 800 mhz range or am I stuck with what I have now in this hell pit. Any help will be appreciated.
