You young people are doing great things keep it up. I am not looking for an endorsement, please post if you feel this information will benefit the students.
Please provide me with a good POC.
I am MAJ Eric A. Arrington an Army officer and an eCybermission Ambassador / Volunteer. I am a school ambassador and district ambassador. The district I selected to sponsor is the Prince George's County Public School system, Laurel School District, Jones County School District and Hawaii Department of Education are just a few districts I am sponsoring for awareness. eCybermission is a web-based science, math and technology competition for 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th grade teams. The teams that sign up and compete for savings bonds at the regional and national level. This is a good way to stimulate interest and motivation in helping the community while promoting science, math and technology. This competition can bring national recognition and friendly bragging rights. This is the new high tech way of taking the science fair out of the auditorium and bringing it into cyberspace (internet).
This competition is sponsored by the U.S. Army using technology as a way of giving back to America's communities. This is not a recruitment pitch. For more detailed information or to verify anything I have mentioned please feel free to visit www.ecybermission.com or you can send an e-mail to missioncontrol @ecybermission.com. You can also call the help desk at 1-866-462-9237.
My job is to help promote the competition and awareness of ecybermission. The competition is "FREE" just takes a little time to supervise the teams properly. The online registration starts September 15,2003 to December 15, 2003. Competition begins immediately upon registration. Teams have until February 24, 2004 to submit their data. The kids have an opportunity to earn and win up to $8,000.00 in savings bonds if they win regionals and nationals for their grade. Full details are in the website listed above. I look forward to a reply from the POC. This would be an excellent opportunity for your students if you or some of your teachers are interested. Please do not miss out on this opportunity, last year Hawaii did not field a team and I know there are a lot of deserving students and schools. Please provide the widest dissemination possible for the grade range eligible. The best way to reach me is through e-mail listed below. Thank you for your valuable time and consideration.
