OFFICIAL UPDATE FROM KARTGUY'S PLACE: I have been informed by a fellow kartbud that he has uncovered some historic FKL go-karts and is trying to get his hands on them...This kartbud is also in search for a old Deavinsons Sprint go-kart chassis for restoration but no luck yet. This kartbud also has a few Honda G42 and some G200 parts for kartguy's vintage project. But not many. Although with all this great news comes the sad news... Being realistic and updated with current governing rules... What are we going to do with go-karts that are no longer approved to run at sanctioned tracks that are run under our current rules? Do the current rules make it seems that go-karts without plastic side pods and bumpers are not safe on go-kart tracks anymore? Then what good is owning or buying any vintage go-kart that can't be used on our modern day approved tracks? Maybe we could use some Old New rules to make more go-karters happy with their kart purchase they may have made long , long ago before this plastic rule was mandated... When I got back into go-karting in 1997 after a 20 year break, go-karts made with no plastic bumpers and no plastic side pods could be used in race and open practice. But now we can not? Why? Kartguy's Place will try and keep you updated with this on going vintage project and saga that everyone is not talking about just yet...
Oh ya.. If you know of an old Deavinsons Sprint go-kart chassis, let kartguy know so he can offer it to the kartbud that has the info on the FKL stuff...
