This kartKlip is from the infield at the Mosport/Powell Internationally approved kart curcuit. 1997
These karts are 100 cc direct drive. No Clutch
The crankshaft of these 100 cc engines was basically attached to your butt.
You had to learn how to react to everything...fast
You had to be in very good physical condition to get a good handle on these nimble, lightweight direct drive machines. What a thrill!
Too start: You had to either get a push or learn the art of picking up the rear, run a little, drop it, hop in and go...If you had the talent!
4 stroke already covered the base with a clutch driven kart that a beginner would best be trained in...Unless you just want to learn how to go fast down the straights and not in the corners
The teaching tool is gone!
