well its been hours since the announcement of Looper's go-kart giveaway kontest and not one correct answer has been received.
Maybe there is really no good reason why g-man nose cones are still banned in 4 stroke amateur Ontario kart racing?
The go-kart product that has a fast 2 stroke engine is the same looking vehicle as the beginner like, slower 4 stroke model when it comes to body work and bumpers.
Shouldn't one work up to the open wheel risk and cost?
Changing the appearance could be the initiation of the progression ladder that non karters and parents are intimidated by because of risk of wheel to wheel contact that is shown in pictures and movies on the net.
This non variation visual appearance has to be looked into to provide a safer looking starting point for different kinds of people then us already experiencing go-karting or go-kart racing!
Try to put yourself aside and look at the product that is offered to non karters!
My hope is the manufacturers learn to understand this concept is important to enhance go-kartings reputation world wide and then maybe karting could attract some major supporters if the image is right from the start!
