While sitting in the stands with my old lady watching some racing we just happened to talk to a well traveled junior kart racer that has traveled to Florida and races his kart. This young racer had mentioned to us that the blue flag
(make way your getting lapped by the leader's flag) is no longer used. He informed us that they now give lapped racers the black flag and they would now have to abandon the race and pull in the pits next lap around.
Even though this junior racer spoke very well and seemed well informed of the rules, I would like to know more facts.
This would mean the old saying...
"Race till you see the checkered flag"
rule no longer applies???? WTH
