: A major attraction in Schoolcraft Township is
: Bermo Enterprises semi-annual open to the
: public warehouse sales. In the winter and
: now summer, for two days, the public can
: shop odds and ends in their actual
: warehouse. A warehouse sale in a real
: warehouse! Ed Bernard was one of the
: co-founders of Bermo Enterprises, the
: largest off-price wholesale clothing jobber
: in the midwest. Ed's clothing career
: started as a hooker in Chicago. Near Bermo
: Enterprises is B&G Discount, which had a
: fire in recent history. Jack's Wholesale
: Windows is known for their telemarketing and
: telemarketers. The Village of Schoolcraft
: has an underground railroad museum.
:
: The Village of Vicksburg is located in Brady
: Township.
:
: Climax Township has its own telephone
: company, Climax Telephone Company, marketed
: as CTS Telecom. Climax Scotts is the school
: district.
:
: TV-64 WLLA is located on East N Avenue
: (otherwise Kilgore Road) in Pavilion
: Township.
:
: Part of Alamo Township is in the Otsego
: School District, based out of county.
:
: The Kalamazoo Nature Center is an attraction
: in Cooper Township. The center of the
: township is Cooper Center.

: Most communities have garage sales and yard
: sales. It's not news when someone has a
: moving sale. In town, you'll want to
: announce your organization's rummage sale.
: Local events are often advertised on News 3
: WWMT CBS, WOOD TV 8 NBC, WOTV 4 41, and WXMI
: FOX 17. Sometimes you can get the word out
: on WGVU 35 and WGVK 52 PBS. You probably
: won't have much luck on WXSP, WZPX, or West
: Michigan CW 7. The Kalamazoo Gazette
: newspaper, Western Herald newspaper, and AM
: 590 WKZO radio are very good about getting
: community news reported. AM 1360 WKMI isn't
: as good about local content as they used to
: be. AM 1660 WQSN features ESPN sports
: radio. WQLR 106.5 FM is now known as The Q,
: but it previously went by Q-106.5 and
: Q-Lite. WFAT 96.5 dropped Classic Hits from
: their name. Have you ever listened to The
: Touch, AM 1560 WNWN? At Western Michigan
: University there is 89.1 FM WIDR (a student
: radio station that seems to be mostly
: staffed by student alumni) and 102.1 WMUK
: national public radio with classical and
: jazz music. WZUU 92.3 FM and WQXC 101.3
: from Allegan try to be part of the Kalamazoo
: radio market. WZUU used to be WNTX Radio X
: and was based above Video Hits Plus in the
: Campus Pointe Mall. AM 1470 used to be
: WQSN, then it switched formats to Super Talk
: 1470 WKLZ, and the frequency went silent in
: the past two years. Of course, you can't
: forget the two highest rated and strongest
: signaled stations in Southwest Michigan,
: 103.3 WKFR and 107.7 WRKR The Rocker.
