The 46th annual downtown Kalamazoo Holiday Parade is this Saturday, November 3 at 11 a.m. The parade follows its traditional route of East Lovell Street to South Park Street to West Michigan Avenue to South Pitcher Street and back to East Lovell Street. Enjoy five 50-foot tall helium balloon floats (including Odie, Garfield, and Twinkle Toes) sponsored by Midwest Communications Radio (including WKZO's Lori Moore), Keystone Community Bank, Meijer, Bronson Healthcare Group, and AAA Michigan. This event is the official holiday kickoff in downtown Kalamazoo, started by Gilmore’s Department Store. Many downtown restaurants and other businesses will offer after parade specials and activities.
