The Kalamazoo Promise received more national attention tonight when it was featured on the CBS Evening News for about five minutes. The feature, part one of their The American Spirit series, occupied the entire space between two commercial breaks. Possibly more noteworthy, the story was promoted yesterday in a commercial during CBS's telecast of Super Bowl XLI. CBS News was here about two weeks ago to record the sweeps month feature. 21
