I was at the match & thought it was a great idea instead of training. The u/17's were as you would expect 'up for the game', & if you stood near the first team bench, you would have heard the management telling the first team players not to tackle when the u/17 were miss timing some tackles. The u/17 did themselves justice but never threaten the goalkeeper. There were also some u/16's playing in the first team to give them too a taste of the first team. Why cant you be proud of what all the teams at kidsgrove are doing & let nature take is course, as lads get older & more physical they will surely more up to the first team.
As for the comments re half of the management(Twiggy), he has long serviced Kidsgrove & the comments are not deserved.
