A close game which was 0 – 0 at the end of full time and 1 – 1 at the end of extra time (Glenn James scoring for the Blues). The tie went on to a penalty shoot out before Leek snatched victory with the twelfth penalty of the contest. A cruel way to go out, but we must remember that the lads have another year to crack this competition. However, Willaston took advantage of some defensive mistakes to steal a game which they had never really controlled.
