Sprinkler head protection.

I've found 3 different choices for "protecting" sprinkler heads: 1)Concrete donut 2)Plastic tube with flange 3)"OneWay" sprinkler protector (square shaped plastic item with 4 legs that go into the ground; there is a hole for the head itself).
Any comments or suggestions?
