There was a novelty story that used to be on radio country music probably in the fiftys.The story is about a farmer who goes away for a while and leaves his farmhand ZEKE in charge.Zeke is very "laid back" person.When the farmer returns,he asks Zeke if anything happened during his absence.Zeke says"not a thing boss,'cept your dog died.The farmer says:"Old Rover? well what happened"?Zeke says"O I forgot to tell you that.He died of smoke inhalation.And that is the way the story unfolds and each time Zeke finished telling of a continuing disaster,he would end up saying:"And that there is what killed your dog.It is very funny.Hope you can help.Thanks for a great site.
