"Hello everyone. Here are my reasons to rid myself of this filthy habit. Please remind me, should i forget them. I'll put them in ascending order of importance, more or less;
-All of my clothing smells like a used pipe cleaner.
-I smell like a used pipe cleaner.
-I burn myself at least twice a week.
-My teeth used to be perfectly white.
-My lungs used to be perfectly pink.
-My car would be worth at least several hundred dollars more if I didn't smoke in it.
-In the long run, my smoking is not that unlikely to burn down wherever it is that I happen to live.
-Fewer and fewer places permit smoking.
-In some (that is, most) parts of the world, you could feed a family for what it costs to feed my addiction.
-In this part of the world, the cost of my cig habit could help provide a much better future for me.
-Non-smokers around me have the right to breathe (relatively) unpolluted air.
-Being a smoker makes a bad impression on my clients, I know that many parents of my students have disapproved.
-Being a smoker will make a bad impression on employers when (soon) I have to develop a real career.
-The more smokers there are, the more acceptable smoking seems -- we are all role models.
-People who respect themselves don't respect me.
-Sometimes my ears ring after lots of cigs.
-My senses of taste and smell are increasingly impared.
-My vision get weak after intense periods of puffing.
-Detailed records are kept on all of our health histories, and being a smoker WILL cost me more to insure myself; some day it may preculude insurance.
-When I take a really deep breath, or try to run for more than two or three minutes, I have chest pain.
-I feel much older than my chronological age, smoking is a major factor.
-I want to become more independent, and it is terrible to depend on a stew of toxic chemicals.
-My spending habits support plenty of evil corporations, smoking aside. Helping support tobacco companies is just as bad as, say, helping support illicit drug cartels.
-I want to imporve my physical and mental health, and smoking detracts from both.
-Someday I might want to have children, and overall pollution is QUITE enough of a factor in mail infertility.
-My girlfriend is going blind, smoking is accelerating it, I don't think she'll quit before I do.
-I've seen people with emphysema, and don't want to be one of them.
-I've seen people with cancer, and don't want to be one of them.
-The act of smoking, for me, is a denial of the value of life. It's like committing sucide and choosing the most protracted and painful method possible, except the it hurts lots of other people, too."
