My mom, Ruthy Adele Shadowens, told me that she used to sit on Jim's lap around a fire when she was little while he sang. Her parents were Bill and Virginia Shadowens. Bill's mother we called "Sweet Mama" and she lived in DeBerry. I remember visiting her house one time when I was little. I remember thinking I was part of a tribe because she was an indian. Anyway, I was just wondering if you could confirm my story....I am curious to know. I sing and have always wondered where my singing voice comes from....many people can sing, but the uniqueness I think Jim started in our family. Would like to hear a reply if possible. Thanks

Great country music is a Reeves family tradition.
