Jan, there are a few places where you can find the songs Jim sings in the African language, although you might have a problem in both cases. All of these songs are available on CD, but only in the Bear Family records 16-CD box set that contains just about everything Jim ever recorded on the Macy, Abbott and RCA labels. The problem here is that it's very expensive, although I will say that it is worth every penny. There is even a giant Lp size book included that is really beautiful and informative. It even includes a complete list of Jim's recording sessions, along with the songs recorded at each one, the musicians and singers for each session and lots of other details. If you look on line, you will mostly see this set priced at around 350-400 dollars, but at Collectors'Choice Music at www.ccmusic.com you can get it for about 249 dollars, which is the cheapest I've ever seen it. All the African songs are also available as a special audio bonus on the Bear Family edition of the "Kimberley Jim" DVD. It also includes the entire soundtrack to the movie, and two trailers for the film. The problem here is that this DVD is out of print, and although you might be able to find a few copies on amazon.com, they are quite expensive as well.

Great country music is a Reeves family tradition.
