My very first album, a gift from my mother, was MY CATHEDRAL. I had heard little music till that time, and didn't know who Jim Reeves was, and didn't know till years later, that he had already died. Through these forty years since, I am always saddened by his life cut short. I always think: 'How could Mary go on in life?' I, along with untold millions are so grateful for the invention of recording, so that we too, may still enjoy 'Gentleman Jim'
