I became aware of Jim Reeves just a year ago. His music is like a great tranquilizer soothing me thru the day and night. When he sings the gospel songs, I feel that he is actually living them as he sings. In my opinion, I think they are No.1. He had a beautiful voice and, thankfully, his wife kept him in the spotlight and today he is still the best. I wish I had known of his music years ago. But, today, at age 79, he is my favorite. I am looking forward to reading the book of his life when it is published. Wish I knew when that would be.
