Hi Michael,
I checked the discography contained in the Bear Family 16 CD set and it says that song was recorded twice by Jim. The second version was the first one to be released by RCA and is the version contained in the According to My Heart vinyl LP.
The song is written by Gary Walker.
The first recording took place in Nashville on Dec. 23, 1955. The musicians included Chet Atkins: electric guitar, Jack Shook: rhythm guitar, Basil Burnette: steel guitar, Bob Moore: bass, Tommy Jackson: fiddle, Buddy Harman: drums and Floyd Cramer: piano.
The more familiar second recording took place in Nashville on July 18, 1956. The musicians included Chet Atkins: electric guitar, Jimmy Day: steel guitar, Kenneth Hill: bass, Joe Hayes: fiddle, Bob Hicks: fiddle, Farris Coursey: drums and Floyd Cramer: piano.

Great country music is a Reeves family tradition.
