I think Jim Reeves, Eddy Arnold, and so many others of the country crooner category were deeply influenced by Bing Crosby, and the pop singers of the thirties and fourties, and even the twenties. The full baritone, that wonderful smooth quality of the voice, warms us all. Listen to "He'll Have to Go" and hear how the voice is miked. Every nuance is captured. It's almost like atomic breathing. One hears this in Eddie Fisher, as well, who covered much of Eddy Arnold's tunes. God bless this site. Long live Jime Reeves.

Great country music is a Reeves family tradition.
