>Greetings Friends and Fans of Jim Reeves. I've been one of Gentleman Jim's most die-hard devoted
admire-ers for as long as I can remember back;(at least 30 years or more);and I can tell you I want NOT to change a thing about that wonderful sound he made when he sang...But I will say-one of my all-time favorite songs I think Jim sang best was 'Im Gonna Change Everything';(that holds a memory of you, oh yeah!)...It has a glorious Rhumba-style beat that ends with a-cha,cha,cha! A simple little song to be sure, not very hard for anyone to sing; by itself-not real memorable...However, one must ask themself; "who indeed-could sing this song the way Jim did and make it sound the way Jim Reeves did? No one I can think of...The song itself is not all that memorable;instead, it is Jim's magnetic performance of the song that becomes impossible to forget...His velvet-smooth baritone voice, his mastery of breathing control, and his being in perfect-synchronicity with the other instruments of the band;(not to mention the fact he sounds very happy and is obviously enjoying himself as he sings); all seem to aide in delivering a high quality product which the final version is, which of course-in it's day was a hit 45 speed record.
>I love all of Jim's songs, yes-even 'Bimbo', ha!
I never tire of that "once in a lifetime voice" and it would be hard to imagine anyone or anything like it coming along anytime soon! In ways, Jim's music and voice for me-serve as a time capsule; a chance for me to relive brief moments of my life in a few stolen moments, when I can slow down my hectic pace a bit and recall a quick view of where we used to be-before the world changed...before it went so fast.
>Lastly, I think over time, as a person who once knew of Jim and his music; my taste has grown up and matured, allowing me to appreciate the great talent he was-even moreso than before...Making it possible for me to experiance a depth of joy and gratitude for who Jim was and the priceless things he stood for...Certainly they were and ARE things that money cannot and will not buy!

Great country music is a Reeves family tradition.
