I was a teenager and one day, heard a song on the radio sung by an artist whom I did not even know -I fell in love with the voice and till today, fifty years later, I have never heard any other singer with the same vocal quality that Jim has! His sincerity shines through the words of all his songs which have been imprinted in my memory for ever. I still play the old records I have and when I hear that velvet voice singing the songs that have now become my favourites and have stood the test of time I can only say that my vision of love and life have been indelibly coloured by Jim's philosophy.
