I started singing and playing Jim Reeves music and became a big fan back in 1962. I was doing Jim Reeves music in the Chicago Area when I was in high school at a time when country music was'nt cool. I now live in Tennessee and still favor Jim Reeve's music over the "now" country music. I had the opportunity to meet Mary Reeves when the Jim Reeves Museum was still open in Nashville. We had a very good conversation about Jim. I was sorry to hear about her passing a few years ago. I am glad to find there are still fans of Jim Reeves still out there keeping his legend and music alive for future generations. I will try to come to the 2005 festival and may give the sound-alike and whirl.
