as a devoted jim reeves fan, i have come to the conclusion that there is no other artist that can compare with our "gentleman Jim". Tonight, 6-23-06, i sat and listened to jim for several hours and his music is timeless. His velvet voice is beyond compare. He has lived the songs he sang. Heartache, despair, broken promises, and life in general. which God gave him an understanding that few will ever know or experience. Jim was wise before his time in his songs. I am very fortunate to have been exposed to his music at an early age. almost 50 years of his music has infulenced my life. I stand proud to have known jim through his music and personality.
