I was a part of the search party looking for Jim Reeves airplane. I was stationed at Sewart AFB in Smyrna TN. from 1963 till 1967 and volunteered to help search an area called Otter Creek. We searched for 2 days before finally locating the plane. I don't remember Marty Robbins or any other celebrity participating in the search. I do remember that it was really hot and we spent both days in the woods. Millions of chiggers and mosquitos.There were 2 bus loads of Airmen from the airbase taking part.
