Hello
My husband, Chuck, and I were honored to meet John Rex Reeves this past weekend in Palestine, Texas. We had traveled from our home in northeast Louisiana to visit some friends of ours who live in Palestine, listening to some of our favorite music as we traveled. One tape we had with us was one of Jim Reeves. He defintiley has a smooth, graceful way of singing that a person never tires of. I was driving as we passed the memorial in Carthage and I remembered the first time we were there when we stopped, visited the site and took pictures.
When we arrived in Palestine and went out for a meal there with our friends we saw a flier in the restaurant that told about the opry that evening, so we all deceided to attend.
I have to say that this concert was one of the highlights of our visit to Palestine and meeting John Rex Reeves. We sure enjoyed talking to him.
Thanks, John, for all the songs you sang and for being such a nice a friendly person to talk to.
We hope to see you again someday!

Great country music is a Reeves family tradition.
