That is really an interesting subject;Language, spelling, and how we refer to items in different parts of the World.
In American we refer to repair kits, etc as; "Parts". In the UK, you refer to them as: "Spares"
Pressure hose clamps are referred to as: "Screw Clamps" in America. In the UK, you refer to them as: "Jubilee Clamps". Gentleman, as "Gents", and so on.
