I just bid one on commercial that is scheduled for cleaning and I got, .20 per ft for using a Cimex to clean, 363.00 will take about an hour to complete not to bad for an hour pushing a cimex.
If enough square footage is there I will come down to .10 per ft to clean with a cimex, 3,000 ft per hour equals out to 300 per working hour not to bad.
Residential, I try and turn at least 100.00 per hour your loosing money much beyond that.
Carpet Protector, I really dont push it much, But just add 80 or so dollars and you should be there.
This is a time in this industry that you "MUST" be able to handle a multiple of problems that the client has, Only having one tool in the box will not cut it anymore.
I'm a died and true truck mount guy, But I still have a Recoil,Cimex,Square Scrub,Auto Scrubber,High Speed Machine,"2" Rx20's a 175 with all the buckets and ringers you can imagine.
You need all of it these days, Go after the extra work, You can sit at home or go make some money...
that was only the short list of what I have to work with, It goes on and on, I just pick up a wood floor cleaning yesterday, No truck mount or recoil will be used for that..
See Ed asked a question on price, I got carried off again...My bad....
I'll end it with "Charge" for "Profit" dont be scared to make a profit, That means all the bills are paid including your paycheck that funny stuff left over is called profit.
But you must back it up and do the quality job that follows, I ripped Ed's post all to Heck didn't mean too...I'm out
