How much freedom do you give your employees?
This is a great question, and one where there could be several answers depending on the particular staff one has on hand at the moment. I am sure that many of you have thought about this subject from time to time.
Therefore, I will only offer my opinion in regards to a general answer based on my own experience within this Industry since 1977.
I believe that the particular segment of the employment market that we most commonly choose from and employ demands a constant system of; "Checks & Balances".
The responsibilities of a Professional Cleaner ( Owner ) whose job it is to provide service to their clients are also responsible for a set of Company rules , regulations, and procedures in an effort to keep performances and results at top level all the time. Further, because the Owner is responsible, he must protect himself and his company from potential litigation(s). Therefore, once again, there must be a set of rules and procedures regardless of who's behind the wand.
This is a quick over-view; however, that is my opinion.
Best to all;
Ed Valentine
