Back in the 70's (before most of you were born!-LOL), my contracting company had a contract with the Pepsi Bottling Co. to clean (HWE) upin front of many of their despensers at that time.
Always came clean. In this case, the Pepsi "spots" contain sugar and sugar can easily be extracted. Ofcourse, beverages with coloring agents may cause a "stain".
If the area is re-soiling, then this indicates that the spill was a deep one and may take a couple of extractions to completely rid.
I never saw this as a "problem" because sooner than later this situation can be corrected; just takes patience and a little understanding about the cleaning process.
