As an old man with 44 years as a true engineer and 24 of those in this industry, I am so glad that someone has at last spoken up on this subject. The internet has a lot to answer for which makes everyone "AN EXPERT" mostly by taking on board opinions of others who probably got their information in the same way. Data gets diluted, distorted and eventually seems to become "FACT" For those of us who have invested time, experience and money in the development of ideas, equipment and techniques to the benefit of the industry, it can be very frustrating.
Let us engineers who offer good, well founded honest advice and opinion get on with their jobs and the carpet cleaners make some money on the back of it. Well done Ed for your brief published opinion
