Flushing with water is my normal procedure to rinse waste tank thru the front gate valve. Then add an couple ounces of defoamer and I'm ready for next gig.
If it is to sit for any length of time I use an 5 gallon wet/dry vac to completely drain tank.
5 by 8 trailer is tight, really no room for access to side drain.
Eco Pro , you could request the top fed AF from the past model Recoil. The fitting can be placed in any direction you so desire.
