We all know that there are some "bad" people in this world along with some crooked Politians and Governments. This is true from all walks of life and from all cultures. There's an old saying: "people (common man) don't cause wars, Governments (power & control) do".However, unfortunately as it is, it is realitity.
For myself, one of our only saving graces is our Military, and that of most other free Nations around the Globe. During this Memorial Day Holiday, my thoughts and prayers always go out to these Men and Women all over the Globe (our sons and daughters)who consistently put their own lives on the line for the common man, like myself, my family, and my great friends.
They ask for nothing other than their orders so that they will be able to say: "Mission Accomplished".
They are many times alone in foreign countries or on the battlefields without their families; wives, childrens, and friends. They can only witness the bad, and not the good. They are without the basic neccessities that you and I are so dependent upon, don't even have a simple "bandaid" for a cut.
My heart goes out to all of them who are fortunate to still be alive as well as our fallen Heros from past and present battles. Many of which have been forgotten through time.
While I sit back this weekend with a cold drink in my easy chair enjoying my own family, you had better believe that I will be thinking as well as thanking ALL of them with tears in my eyes.
