Over on another board the guys are timing how long it takes to drain a 5 gallon container of water with their truck mounts. While that doesn't really excite me, it got me wondering. How much CFM am I losing with 150' of suction hose vs. 100', with my Jag. Since I don't have scientific equipment to test CFM's, I used the 5 gallon container method, but used a 2 gallon container, simply because I had it handy. I'm happy to report the difference between 100' and 150' was only 1/10th of a second! The loss was not as great as I had anticipated.
