I have a 6 x 12 trailer that I upgraded from a 5 x 8 trailer. I could not hold everything I needed. You are right, sometimes parking can be tight and at times you have to plan ahead. But so far, I have not had any problems towing a trailer this size.
As a matter of fact, I am glad I have 6 x 12 instead of the 5 x 8.
