Not only the XPS but the other products as well. Such as the inline Power Booster. Certainly the Recoil has become one of the most famous machines in the carpet cleaning industry. But why do so many choose it above the others who are competing . I have known Ed V. for a very long time. Certainly it doesn't supprise me that he keeps on improving on the equipment he sells! It hasn't been an easy journey for Ed. There have been some things that were disapointing. But it never kept him from just keep on improving what he manufactures. I saw on one website where it was criticized for being more lightweight than the competition. Like that is a reason to suspect that it is cheaply made. No the truth is ,it is more difficult to make a first rate product ligher than the competition . Not only lighter but Better! There are so many ways he could cheapen the XPS and people not be aware of it. Ed is cautous when it comes to something like new components. For instance there is a company who is finding customers in this industry who are attempting to sell 3 stage vacuum motors for unbelievably cheap prices. He called Ed and tried to sell him high performance 3 stage vacuum motors for ridiculously low prices. Ed didn't want anything to do with these vac motors made in China. He chooses the best vacuum motors for the Recoil 3 that will not only allow him to have the ability to clean with long hose runs but also vacuum motors that have been thourghly tested as to reliability and performance. Of course his choice for a pump is the best 500 psi made . He also uses the better more powerful motor to drive the pump. He carefully chooses the right wiring to power the components. He uses QDs for easy replacement if needed. When you look inside the XPS you are amazed at how clean everything appears. Everything neatly arranged. Some have stated or posted that the XPS is over priced. Wrong! It is underpriced! I could go on and on about why but there are plenty people on this forum who know what I am talking about! One more thing when you call Cross-American you get the CEO who answers the phone. He is always available to help! He is a man of integrity. He backs up what he sells! Jan
