Great advice Ken. On the fringes i use a vinyl screen to cover the vac slot. Like the ones on your windows. WHY? So the fringe dont get sucked inside. It could but not always untwist the fringe. Better safe than sorry!! Also i dont pre-spray the fringe. lay it on a canvas cover or towel or whatever you have then with a horse hair brush blot the cleaning agent into the fringes the bristles will drive the cleaning agent all the way through the fringe then extract as said above. Once the fringe untwist it is impossible to get it back to its natural twist. Thats what the screen if for...........
