Unfortunately.
A few of you may have known, met, or remember a true Gentleman and Professional, Mr. Bud Nutter of Tiffin, OH. years bad, he was always present on the boards during their upstart. He lived and worked from his home along with his beautiful wife and co-worker, whom he always referred to as; "St. Sue". She was always by his side.
Bud was also one of the founding fathers of the FOJL (friends of Jackson Lloyd)organization which later became Summerfest. He was a terrific human being who had one of the most professional presence and demeaners I have ever witnessed in our Industry. He would impress anyone with his deep honor, respect, and honesty. On occassion, he would make a trip to our Plant from his home in Tiffin, OH to purchase a machine (or two), and/or cleaning products, or just to say Hello.
Well, "St. Sue" informed me recently that Bud passed away this past May. What a shocker. A great person and friend, gone just like that.
The purpose of my writing was not only to inform those who might have known this Gentleman but also to remind all of us about the true meaning of friendship. And, about how rediculous and immaterial occasional work problems are in relationship to what is really important; Life.
Hummm. I have lost a friend but will always cherish the memories I had with him.
The very best to all;
Ed Valentine
