Sef has posted his customers problem, prior to audit, and it would appear that we are all loosing track a little.
For us Brits ie John and myself, we have slightly different terminology. A rug is something that is a finished item after maufacture and just dropped onto the floor. I gather that in North America, a rug can be both as we see it and also fitted and secured wall to wall. So we have a little confusion here. For us, wall to wall is called Fitted Carpet.
On the construction front, we don't know if Sef's wool rug is a hand knotted Oriental Rug or a tufted or woven carpet or rug. If woven, the likelyhood is that it's either Axminster, Wilton or face to face wilton ( aka Belgian Frame Wilton) The problem of rucking can have different causes with different constructions, so until we know more, nobody knows for certain.
Safe and happy cleaning
The Ken
