Please define "power clean"
I am presuming from your post that you are fairly new to our industry.
In my marketplace (UK), I am cleaning pure wool and wool rich carpets virtually everyday. I'm a Woolsafe Certified Technician Woolsafe and use primarily the rinse/extraction method. It is important to use products formulated for wool, and preferably Woolsafe Approved (but I would say that wouldn't I
) A lower pH solution may still be quite highly alkaline and have the potential to create problems, hence my recomendation to use Woolsafe Approved.
Until you are more experienced, I wouldn't advise a rotary brush/pad machine of any type. CRB machines, whether for agitating pre-spray or for dry powder cleaning, are quite safe with the softer brushes. You may create some fluff, but it shouldn't be a problem.
Check the carpets construction to ascertain the degree of risk for shrinkage and/or cellulosic browning, as you would with any other pile fibre type.
Safe and happy cleaning
The Ken
