Golden Aire is best used in the Recoil's tank as it has water softening ingredients which help in the cleaning . It also has phenol which is a true deodorizing chemical, not just a cover up .However deodorizers that have enzymes in them or mildewcides should be put down with a sprayer and let dry. Milgo and others require a lot of chemical to be applied in order for them to remain wet and active so I usually put down quite a bit. Might take 6 hours to dry as I remember. As far as enzymes for urine contamination may require that you put down enough for it to stay wet up to 24 hours.It has been a while so my figures might be off a little and there are newer better deodorizers which may require less saturation.
