Thank you for your answer. For a lay person that was a pretty darn good answer. Please forgive my skepticism as I mean no disrespect at all. I do agree with you when you say "compelling" but humbly, not so much when you say " beyond a reasonable doubt" so unfortunately we have a hung jury. Ha!
I guess it just seems to me that while bacteria can indeed become resistant, it is, even when we look at all of recorded history, still bacteria. Couldn't this just be laterral adaptation? And this ability was always contained in the original gene code?
Once again I am not doubting you, I am only skeptical about the data itself. Thank you.
