If creationism if such a hindrance to the development of humans why is it that our science foundation, from gravity to electricity are discovered by people with faith? Obviously faith itself isn't necessarily a hinderance to scientific development since the old age of the earth and the geologic time scale and the theory of evolution and its development were done by many people of faith. Now continued belief in young earth creationism today despite the evidence against it may be another thing entirely.
