I'm sure it has been covered many times but this is an argument that appeals only to those that imagine themselves smart enough to understand everything. In other words, the lack of imagination on the part of one person should not necessarily, indicate, that something is impossible.
Things can be difficult to divine, not being able to succinctly define how a thunderstorm forms does make every thunderstorm an act of God.
To me this seems to be an bad argument, on par with "it's magic, you can't understand it"
But perhaps I am mistaken. In any event the process of the evolution of the flagellum is well explained.
