the wise cracks about religion.They were only representative of a speaker warming to/engaging with his audience. Yes, they were cheap shots if his audience were primarily of his own views. Richard Dawkins is in too much of a hurry. He does not realise that he had only to plant the seeds of his ideas through his books. That is enough for most reasonable people. No need to have a schedule of public appearances every second day because they are inadequate to drive points home.. Dawkins is only human so his superficial appearances may even subvert the value of his wonderful books. Now that would be a real pity.
