Here's how I do it for my "smaller" Washingtonias: http://home.ptd.net/~mishele/webpage/protection.htm For my bigger Washingtonia I use PVC pipes to make a frame, then wrap that with greenhouse film. I used wiggle wire to fasten the seam where the 2 ends of the greenhouse film meet - a very ingenious invention.
