First freeze/Frost

Awoke to a white world yesterday. The previous day I had been snaapping pic of canna blooms, bananas, etc. Luckily I sprayed my banana leaves with 'Freeze-Pruf' in the afternoon on Sunday since I figured there would be frost soon. Not sure if enough time had passed for it to be effective... The leaves looked OK in the morning, but damage can take a while to show up. There was ice on nearby puddles and one of my potted cacti (which I'm sad to say croaked this summer with the excess rain) was embedded in a layer of ice!

There was frost all the way to outskirts of Toronto. I'm happy to say that my Passiflora, Ensete and vegtables on the patio, downtown, were untouched!
